Hi there! I'm Alexa, and I hope to be your go-to resource for all your editorial needs!

My fascination with the written word began shortly after I learned to read. As a child, I experimented with writing short stories and was always genuinely excited about grammar and punctuation lessons. I joined a competitive writing team (yep -- I've always been a big nerd), edited dozens of my fellow classmates' senior thesis papers, and graduated an
award-winning high school journalist. I followed my passion from the Midwest to the East Coast, enrolling in the writing, literature, and publishing program at Emerson College, where I served on the staff of several literary magazines and interned at Harvard Common Press (now an imprint of Quarto Publishing Group) and Ploughshares literary journal.

My career has been largely dedicated to developing and refining content in the education publishing and learning and development industries. After several years of managing  publications for one of the country's leading corporate citizenship resource centers, I decided it was time to focus on what I do best: Use my skills as an editor to help writers, educators, and brand storytellers clearly and concisely deliver their messages and
tell their stories without sacrificing the genuine human spirit and determination
necessary for creating.
 
I live outside of Boston with my husband and our three cats. When I'm not busy polishing your project, I can be found gaming with friends, embroidering or dabbling in some other grandma hobby, taking a nap, or possibly haunting the local coffee shop, woods, or independent bookstore.
